The complex is new for the area and within walking distance to the Bongaree town center which consists of a variety of cafes, restaurants, shops, clubs and of course the Bongaree Jetty which has regular Sunday markets and events. There is a walkway directly from the complex through to the waterfront and a small group of shops including an IGA and bottle shop.

The Bongaree passage and waterfront is the best place on the island for all water sports including kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, boating, and fishing. The waterfront also offers kilometers of paved walking and biking tracks, parks, picnic spots, playgrounds, and exercise equipment.
